General Surgical Procedures
The following is a brief list of several of the surgical procedures we routinely perform in Bunbury and Busselton. Information provided here is of a general nature and may not apply to your personal circumstances. We’d encourage you to discuss any questions you may have directly with your surgeon.
Appendectomy
An appendectomy is the surgical removal of the appendix. It’s a common emergency surgery that’s performed to treat appendicitis, an inflammatory condition of the appendix.
Carpal Tunnel Release
A carpel tunnel release is a procedure to free the median nerve which runs through the carpal tunnel in the wrists.
Circumcision
A circumcision procedure is the removal of the foreskin at the end of the penis. The remaining skin is stitched in place just below the head of the penis.
Gall Bladder Surgery
Gallbladder removal is one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures. Gallbladder removal surgery is usually performed with minimally invasive (keyhole ) techniques known Laparoscopic Gallbladder Removal.
Hernia Repair
Hernia repairs involve a surgical procedure (either keyhole or open) to repair a rupture or weakness in the abdominal wall
Ingrown Toenail(s) & Removal of Nail Bed
This procedure is the removal of part or all of the nail and nail bed.
Pilonidal Sinus Excision Operation
This procedure removes a sinus (track) which has developed between the buttocks
