The following is a brief list of several of the surgical procedures we routinely perform in Bunbury and Busselton. Information provided here is of a general nature and may not apply to your personal circumstances. We’d encourage you to discuss any questions you may have directly with your surgeon.
Breast Cancer Surgery
Axillary node clearance
An axillary lymph node clearance involves removal of all the lymph nodes and possible tumour containing tissue from the armpit.
Breast Reconstruction
Breast Reconstruction involves the rebuilding of the breast following the removal of the breast (mastectomy). This can be done either during the initial operation or subsequently as a separate surgery.
Fibroadenoma / Cyst Removal
This procedure will involve the removal of a breast lump which is sent to pathology for testing.
Sentinel Node Biopsy
A sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is a procedure in which the sentinel lymph node is identified, removed, and examined to determine whether cancer cells are present.
Wide Local Excision (Lumpectomy )
A lumpectomy is procedure to remove breast cancer along with a margin (border) of normal, healthy breast tissue.

Breast augmentation, also known as breast enlargement, is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breast.
Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty)
Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure that reduces the size of overly large breasts.
Breastlift (Mastopexy)
Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts.
Inverted Nipple Repair
An inverted nipple is one that retracts in rather than pokes out. Surgical repair of inverted nipples is sometimes required.
